A Funeral Home Service will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home – Watertown on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10 a.m. for Richard L. “Dick” Krueger.
Dick was a son of the late Herman & Mary (Holmes) Krueger. He passed away Monday morning in the Wayside Hospice, Wayland after a period of declining health. Dick was 84.
Dick and Jean met in Boston while Dick was serving in the U.S. Navy. Dick was born in Edgerton, Wis. His grandfather had a farm in Milton, WI where he and his siblings spent a lot of their childhood. He was a cook in the navy and then worked for Morse Mfg for almost 40 years assembling bucket trucks for the power companies. After retiring he worked part time at The Home Depot in the paint dept.
Dick was an avid deep sea fisherman spending countless days on the Yankee Fleet out of Gloucester. He enjoyed playing cards and was an excellent whist and cribbage player. He was a member of the Watertown Amvets Club and the Watertown Eagles where he served as President. He could always be seen at the Eagles serving hot dogs and coke to the kids after the Watertown Patriots Day Race.
Beloved husband of Jean Marie (Lutz) Krueger for 62 years. Devoted father of Ronald J. & his wife Diane of Waltham, Randy & his wife Lori of Marlboro, the late Richard J. & his surviving wife Anne of Watertown and the late Robert J. Loving grandfather of Richie, Laura, David, Jeffery, Steven, Alex and Christopher. Devoted brother of Penny Lundgren and the late Robert, Sid and John Krueger. Also loved by many nieces & nephews. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Sally and all of his nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Tennessee, North Carolina, Colorado and New Mexico.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10 am in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral home , 270 Main St. Watertown. Relatives & friend kindly invited.
Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.
