The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.
Arrests
Feb. 29, 9:45 p.m.: Police served a warrant and Edward Road. The 43-year-old Watertown man was arrested on the warrant from Waltham District Court related to an OUI charge.
March 2, 4:50 p.m.: A woman was spotted placing several items into a shopping cart at Target and walked out of the store without paying. The items were worth $280. Store security had seen the woman do the same thing the previous day. The 52-year-old Belmont woman was trespassed from the store and was arrested on a charge of shoplifting over $100.
March 4, 1:30 p.m.: Security at Home Depot spotted a man load a shopping cart and attempted to leave without paying. The man was stopped before he could leave, and he had $612.10 worth of merchandise. The 55-year-old Allston man was arrested for larceny over $250.
March 6, 12:10 p.m.: Police responded to a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot of the Watertown Mall. When they got the drivers’ information, they found one driver had no license or an ID. Police arrested the 62-year-old Allston man was arrested on a charge of unlicensed driving. Police cited the owner of the car, a 41-year-old Brighton woman, for allowing the improper operation of a motor vehicle.
March 6, 10:30 p.m.: An officer patrolling in Watertown Square spotted a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the double yellow line. When the officer pulled the car over it was discovered that the driver did not have a license. The 38-year-old Everett woman was arrested on a charge of unlicensed driving and marked lanes violation.
Incidents
Feb. 29, 3:15 a.m.: The night manager at the Super 8 Motel reported a man came into the lobby, grabbed a life-sized cutout of the Wyndham Rewards Guy, ran out, stuffed it into a small blue sedan and drove away. The cutout is worth $25.
Feb. 29, 3:30 p.m.: A 20-year-old man who is studying at the Cortiva Massage Institute reported that he got into a verbal argument with the instructor that day. Afterward, another student, age 63, came up from behind, grabbed him and threw him to the ground. He reported the incident to police, who did not press charges, but advised the man how he could file a complaint in Waltham District Court.
March 2, 5:50 p.m.: A man reported to police he was the victim of a hit-and-run accident. He said the previous evening he was struck by a car while crossing Summer Street at Mt. Auburn Street and knocked to the ground. The car made a right on a red light and after it hit the man, the car stopped. The victim was on the ground for a 10-20 seconds, and when he got up the driver drove away down Summer Street. The driver was described as a middle-aged Asian man driving a light colored sedan.
March 3, 9:05 a.m.: A car parked in a parking lot on Patten Street had its rims and tire stolen, and was left on concrete blocks. The rims and wheels were worth $7,000. It happened sometime overnight.
March 3, 9:20 a.m.: Sometime overnight, the front grill and headlights of a Ford pickup were stolen while it was parked overnight at business on Dexter Avenue.
March 4, 6:50 a.m.: A car parked at in a lot of a Whites Avenue apartment building was left propped up on bricks, and the rims and all four tires were stolen. They had an estimated value of $1,100.
