Watertown High School’s indoor track teams showed what they could do in the MIAA Div. 4 Indoor Track & Field Championship on Friday at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center in Boston.
The Raiders had a pair of runners finish third and fourth in the boys 1000 meters. Senior Amin Touri ran a 2:37.16 and senior Jeremy Breen came in with a 2:38.09.
Watertown sophomore Emily Koufos ran the 1000 in a time of 3:07.45 and placed fifth.
Koufos was also part of the Watertown 4 x 800 relay team, along with senior Katherine Tolman, junior Janaki Thanaraj and sophomore Elizabeth Powderly. The team ran the race in 10:16.23 and placed fifth.
The boys 4 x 400 relay team of Breen, junior David Conlon, sophomore Nicholas Cordeiro and junior Vasken Kebabjian finished sixth with a time of 3:39.94.
Tolman placed 10th in the 300 meters, the girls 4 x 200 relay finished 20th the boys 4 x 200 relay came in 25th.
The Watertown boys came in 12th in the team competition and the girls placed 18th.
Touri qualified for the All-State Meet on Feb. 20, and others have a shot at qualifying depending on the results from other divisions.
