This boy got in the spirit for the 10th annual Donohue’s Turkey Trot.
The weather on Thanksgiving morning was perfect for a nice run around Watertown – and more than 800 showed up at Donohue’s Bar & Grill to do just that at the 10th annual Turkey Trot.
The Turkey Day tradition raises money for the Watertown Boys & Girls Club.

Runners take off at the beginning of the Turkey Trot. The top male and female runners can be seen: Roger Lacroix, in the red “Waltham Hawks” jersey, and Michelle Taverner in white in the center of the photo.
The winner of the race was 19-year-old Roger Lacroix of Waltham who ran the 5K race in a time of 16:45. He finished just three seconds ahead of Watertown’s Jason Dunklee.

These Pilgrims got ready for their Thanksgiving feast by running a 5K.
For the second year in a row, Michelle Taverner, 28, of Winchester, was the top female finisher. Her time was 20:29, which was the 17th fastest overall in Thursday’s race. Taverner is also an assistant coach for the state champion Watertown High School field hockey team.
