One of Watertown’s Eliza Dushku’s most recent projects got a big boost when the distribution rights for the move were purchased.
FilmBuff purchased the rights to “Jane Wants a Boyfriend,” a dramedy about a young woman on the autism spectrum and her older sister – played by Dushku – who tries to find her a beau, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The film debuted over the summer at film festivals in Connecticut and New York City. Louisa Krause stars as Jane, William Sullivan directed the movie, which was written by Jarret Kerr. (See the trailer below).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jane Wants a Boyfriend will open in select theaters and all major On Demand platforms, including Amazon Instant Video, Google Play and iTunes, in March 2016.
