The MBTA Transit Police arrested two Waltham brothers who threatened a bus driver at the Watertown Yard on Galen Street when he refused to let them on the bus.
The Transit Police released the following account of the incident:
On Nov. 19, 2019 at approximately 11:55 p.m. Transit Police officers assigned to the North District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA’s Watertown Sq. Bus Yard for a report two males threatening an MBTA bus operator.
Upon arrival offices were met by the victim, an MBTA bus operator, and Watertown Police. The victim relayed the following information: While in the turnaround of Watertown Yard and out of service two males approached his bus demanding to be let on. When the driver refused and explained why the males became enraged and attempted to break and force the door open. The second male produced a knife went up to the operator’s window and threatened to cause physical harm to the operator if he did not let them board.
The two males later identified as brothers Corey Martell, 31, and Connor Martell, 24, of Waltham were placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
