The Watertown High School field hockey team will be seeking to retake the State crown in 2019 after falling in the playoffs, last year, for the first time in nearly a decade.
The Raiders, who are coached by soon-to-be hall of fame coach Eileen Donahue, have a scrimmage at Div. 1 power Walpole on Sept. 2, followed by the first regular season game at Winchester on Sept. 4.
The home schedule begins with a game against Arlington on Sept. 6. Rival Belmont visits Victory Field on Oct. 2, and the final home game is against Wilmington on Oct. 22. The final regular season game will be played on Oct. 24 at Stoneham.
Other home games include: Wakefield (Sept. 13), Melrose (Sept. 17), Stoneham (Sept. 26), Reading (Oct. 7), and Burlington (Oct. 17). A non-conference game is scheduled at Weston on Oct. 10.
Watertown’s road to Worcester for the State Final would include the North Section Final on the weekend of Nov. 16, the State Semifinal on Nov. 19 and the State Final on Nov. 23.
