Watertown Police arrested a Lowell woman who was caught with crack pipes in her car.
While patrolling the municipal lot behind CVS on Aug. 4, at 6:05 p.m. an officer noticed a car sitting alone in the back of the parking lot, said Watertown Police Lt. James O’Connor.
“As the police car drove by the operator looked at the officer looked shocked and lunged toward the center console,” O’Connor said. “The officer spoke with the woman and observed drug paraphernalia, including glass pipes with burn marks on them.”
The officer also discovered the driver, identified as Jennifer Whalen, of Lowell, had two outstanding warrants, O’Connor said. While searching her vehicle, police found 11 glass pipes with burn marks and residue which appeared to be cocaine, and a digital scale.
“The items are consistent with drug dealing,” O’Connor said.
Jennifer Katheryn Whalen, 33, of Lowell, was arrested on a charge of possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, O’Connor said, and the two warrants from Lowell District Court: one for possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, and the second for driving with a suspended license, speeding and using a vehicle without authority.
