The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.
Arrests
April 30, 4:19 p.m.: An officer patrolling on Quimby Street queried the license plate of a nearby vehicle and saw that the owner had a suspended license. The vehicle was stopped and the identity of the driver was confirmed. The 32-year-old Watertown man was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license, a subsequent offense.
May 1, 11:19 a.m.: A shoplifter was seen taking items from Home Depot, and the person left the store. Police located the man on Arsenal Street. Security saw the man put several rolls of wire, a flat blade screwdriver and sidecut pliers and put them in a cart. He tried to leave without paying. The items were worth a total of $335.59. The 39-year-old Watertown man was arrested on a charge of shoplifting over $250.
May 5, 1:33 a.m.: A shoplifter was stopped at CVS with a tote bag and two brown paper bags full of merchandise. The pharmacist noticed the woman when the theft alarm went off. She was seen taking items from near the pharmacy and placing them into a paper bag. The woman said the items belonged to her and she had planned to return them, but she was unable to produce a receipt. She also told conflicting stories about what happened. In total, she had $2,296.73 worth of merchandise. Some of the items were heart monitors, jewelry and condoms. When police were placing her under arrest, she threw herself to the ground, kicked one officer and scratched another officer. She also gave a false name. The 49-year-old Watertown woman was arrested on charges of larceny over $1,200, four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, one count of assault and battery on a police officer, and providing police a false identity.
May 5, 1:08 p.m.: A woman was seen shoplifting in Target. She stopped by security and taken to the security office, where she punched a security officer in the head and ran out of the office. She headed into the parking lot where police searched for her. She ducked down behind cars to evade them, but she was caught. She had a total of $337.45 in merchandise, including clothing and a bottle of Sutter Home wine. Police also found she had warrants for her arrest. The 28-year-old Watertown woman was arrested on charges of shoplifting over $250, assault and battery, and two warrants: default warrants from Dorchester District Court and Newton District Court.
Incidents
April 29, 5:45 p.m.: A driver made a turn from Main Street onto Green Street and he nearly hit a skateboarder. He said the skateboard rode right in front of him, and he had to jam on his breaks. The man on the skateboard approached the vehicle and the driver got out. They began to argue and the driver noticed the man had a firearm with a white tip, which was pointed toward the ground. The driver said the other man told him, “I’m going to blow your brains out.” The driver left and called police. Officers located the skateboarder, who said the was almost hit by the driver and they got into an argument. He denied having a gun, and said he told the man, “I’ll smack you in the mouth.” He said he had pushed the driver. Police found a BB gun under some leaves beneath a bush outside the skateboarder’s house. He said, “Sorry, I shouldn’t have lied.” The 19-year-old Watertown man was summonsed to Waltham District Court on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon.
May 1, 4:40 p.m.: A Langdon Street resident ordered an actuator motor for a vehicle window, and the package had been confirmed delivered, but she could not locate it. It was worth $45.
May 2, 10:52 a.m.: A 54 year-old Watertown man drove up in front of Metro Mini Mart on Main Street and thought he had placed his vehicle into park. It began to move forward and the man tried to step on the brake pedal, but instead hit the accelerator. The vehicle went forward and struck the front of the store. There were no injuries, but the building sustained extensive damage. The store remains open.
May 4, 12:52 p.m.: A vehicle was parked in a driveway of a home on Spring Street on May 3, and when the owner came out on May 4, the person found scratches on the front door and hood. They may have also been made at a restaurant the night of May 3. The damage is estimated at $1,000.

They’ll publish the police report in a few months on he Watertown PD website, which they have to do by law. They publish every quarter usually and that’s the way they “hide” who the perpetrators are. They hope people won’t remember to look up that information. When you go to the station and ask for a weekly arrest report they also play dumb and say it’s not public information. If it is then why do they post them on their website?
