A mix of new attractions, old favorites and pleasant weather made for a grand celebration during the 2018 Faire on the Square on Saturday.
Thousands of people came out to Watertown’s Saltonstall Park to check out all the action. Organizers brought in new rides for kids, moved the music stage to the middle of the action, added new food offerings and introduced a beer and wine area.

One of the new additions to the 2018 Faire on the Square were the new kids rides.
For the politically inclined, the local Democrats, Republicans and Libertarians had their own booths, and Republican Congressional candidate John Hugo stopped by to meet voters.
Long time attendees and booth operators agreed that the 2018 Faire was the biggest in recent years.

Balloons and burqas! What a joy to see the diverse foods and faces at Faire on the Square today. Congrats to all who were involved in organizing it. To those who say “it’s not the Watertown I grew up in,” be glad.
Great event as usual. Kudos to the organizers. I didn’t get a chance to walk around this year. But folks all had positive things to say about the Faire when they stopped by our Republican tables.
