Planning Board Sends Recommends Zoning Amendments to City Council; Hearing Continues Nov. 14

The following announcement was provided by the City of Watertown:

The Zoning Hearing is set to continue on November 14, 2024, at 6 PM with the City Council in the City Council Chamber at 149 Main Street. You can access the agenda, and you can join this hybrid meeting online by using this zoom link.

What is the City Council Discussing at the Hearing?

The Planning Board unanimously voted to recommend a package of zoning amendments to the City Council on October 30, 2024. The next step is now for the City Council to review and deliberate the Planning Board report and the recommended zoning amendments package on November 14, 2024 at the Public Hearing.

Hearing Schedule Ahead

The Hearing was continued by the City Council to:

  • November 14, 2024 at 6:00 PM (continuation of the Hearing with the City Council only)

There is also an additional placeholder date in the case of continuation:

  • November 19, 2024 at 6:00 PM

The placeholder date is set for the ease of future scheduling and preparation for the City Council, Staff, and the public. All of the additional dates beyond 11/14/2024 are to be used on an “as-needed” basis, and the official announcement for whether the Public Hearing is to be continued or not will be made at the end of the meeting, should it be necessary.
