The following announcement was provided by the Watertown High School Boosters:
Mark your calendars! Watertown High School Boys Soccer is hosting Watertown Soccer Night on Saturday, October 26th, at Victory Field, and it’s going to be a fun-filled evening for the whole community.
The night kicks off with a Senior Night ceremony at 5 PM, where we’ll honor our WHS Boys Soccer seniors. Their parents, caregivers, and families will join them on the field as we celebrate everything they’ve achieved during their time with the program.
At 6 PM, the WHS Boys Varsity team will take on Reading in an exciting match under the lights. The night will also incorporate Watertown Youth Soccer (WYS) into the action! The WYS players will walk out with the Varsity teams for the national anthem, giving them a little taste of what it’s like to play high school soccer. During halftime, the WYS kids will team up with the WHS Girls Varsity players for some fun mini-games — guaranteed to be a blast for everyone!
We’ve got plenty of other fun stuff planned, including:
- Snack Shack run by WHS students with pizza, snacks, water, and more.
- Temporary soccer tattoos for all ages!
Fans are encouraged to come dressed in Watertown’s colors and uniforms to show their team spirit.
“We’re really excited for a night that brings together all the soccer families in town,” said the Friends of Watertown Soccer Booster organization. “It’s going to be a fun, family-friendly event where we can celebrate our seniors, cheer on the varsity team, and have a great time with the youth players. We’re hoping for a great turnout and, of course, a Watertown win!”
This is the start of what we hope will become a yearly tradition, with future Soccer Nights featuring both the WHS Boys and Girls soccer teams. So grab your friends, bring your family, and join us for a great night of soccer and community spirit. See you at Victory Field!
