Watertown Field Hockey Coach Named MIAA Coach of the Year

Longtime Watertown Field Hockey Coach Eileen Donahue will collect another honor in December when she receives the 2023-24 MIAA Coach of the Year Award.

Last season, the Raiders went undefeated and won their third straight State Championship. Watertown capped the season with a 4-3 win over Newburyport in the State Final. The team is undefeated this season, and has amassed a winning streak of 88 games.

On Oct. 9, Watertown School officials were informed that Donahue would receive the Coach of the Year for Field Hockey by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA). The announcement reads (in part):

“This award will be presented at the MIAA Awards Banquet on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. This event will take place at the Doubletree Hotel – 11 Beaver Street, Milford, MA. … Congratulations again on your coach’s selection as a recipient of the 2023-2024 MIAA Coach of the Year Award. If you have any questions about the banquet, please do not hesitate to contact us at 508-541-9804. We look forward to seeing you there.”
