Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) has opened a new multispecialty site in Watertown. The site, known as the BILH Care Center – Watertown, is located at 480 Pleasant St. and includes primary care and obstetrics and gynecology services. Additional specialty services and an urgent care center will be opened at the site over the next several months.
Primary care and urgent care services will be provided by clinicians from BILH Primary Care, and the specialty services will be provided by clinicians from Mount Auburn Hospital.
“The new care center will further BILH’s goal of providing more care in the community, closer to where people live,” said Alex Barker, Chief Operating Officer, BILH Primary Care. “We look forward to serving more patients in Watertown and the surrounding communities with the extraordinary care provided by our clinicians.”
“Increasing access to care is a goal of Mount Auburn, and we are excited to open this new care center in Watertown,” said Ed Huang, MD, President of Mount Auburn Hospital. “Our patients will now have another convenient option for seeking care.”
As part of BILH’s strategic plan, Blueprint 2030, BILH has set a goal to deliver 70 percent of the care it delivers in the community by 2030.
“Expanding access to care in our communities is important, and I am pleased to see Beth Israel Lahey Health provide more care options in Watertown,” said State Representative John Lawn.
“With the growing need for healthcare access across the Commonwealth, we must utilize every tool to reduce barriers to care. I’m pleased to see BILH enhancing local access to care by opening a multispecialty clinic in Watertown,” said State Representative Steven Owens.
