The Watertown Lit Squad provided the following announcement:
Calling All Creative Writers!
Please join the Lit Squad as part of the Watertown Arts Market (WAM) on Saturday August 17, 12-5 PM, at Filippello Park; rain date, August 18. We are a newly gathered group of published and amateur writers, young and forever-young Watertown residents, who seek to promote poetry and all literary arts here in this diverse community.
We encourage all forms of expressive writing (as opposed to technical or academic), with general readers in mind. Languages other than English must include the English translation.
Join us to market your work, perform your work, enjoy the work of others … and meet other writers during the course of the day. We will have a commission-free sales table for your books and related wares, a PA system for live presentations, and chairs for the listeners. There will be a featured reading by established Watertown writer Lawrence Kessenich at 1 PM, followed by some scheduled 4-6-minute readings, then an invitation for all comers to read at the open mike.
For questions, please contact Liz Rodgers (earodgers@gmail.com 857-928-4033) or Patrick Fairbairn (pwfairbairn@gmail.com 617-924-2183).
