The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.
July 24, 7:19 p.m.: A man entered Target and went to the men’s clothing area and put items into two reusable shopping bags he was carrying. Then he put household goods and groceries in the bags before leaving without paying. He had $107 worth of merchandise.
July 25: A resident discovered her bank account had been hacked. The Winter Street resident found five unauthorized transfers from her Bank of America account for a total of $16,000. Police are working with the bank to investigate the case.
July 26, 3:05 p.m.: A man went into Target and put a number of items into a shopping cart. He went to the self-checkout lane and paid for some items but not for 11, which cost a total of $178.
July 27, 4:15 a.m.: A Fayette Street resident was notified by her home security app of movement captured on her doorbell cam. The footage showed a man in dark clothing attempting to enter her motor vehicle, but did not get inside.
July 27, 5:32 p.m.: Police were called to Dunkin’ Donuts in Watertown Square when a man was causing a disturbance. Officers identified the man and discovered he had 12 outstanding arrest warrants. Toros Torrossian, 59, of Watertown, was arrested on the warrants.
July 29, 2:30 a.m.: A man called police to report that he had unintentionally violated his probation. He had not charged his GPS locator bracelet. Police went to Waverley Avenue and placed Michael Mancuso, 49, of Arlington, under arrest for the probation violation.
July 29: Between 7:30 p.m. on July 28, and 6:30 a.m. on the 29th, a black Jeep Cherokee and a red Nissan Versa on Winter Street were rummaged through.
July 29, 11:30 p.m.: A Mercedes collided with a box truck on Arsenal Street near Title Boxing. An officer working a detail shift in the area went to the scene and found the two vehicles stopped. The driver of the Mercedes started to back up. He was told to stop by the officer, but continued to back up. The vehicle’s bumper knocked into the officer’s knee before stopping. Police found the driver had a suspended license. The driver, Othumn Ntale, 47, of Waltham, was placed under arrest for assault and battery on a person over 60 (the officer), operating with a suspended license — a subsequent offense, failing to stop for police, and leaving the scene of property damage. The officer was not injured.
July 29, 4:30 p.m.: A Royal Street resident ordered sandwiches from a local restaurant on her credit card and when she went to pick up the food she was told someone had already picked up the food. Later, she ordered items from Target and got a barcode to scan when she picked up the items. When she went to the store, they said someone had used a barcode to pick up the items before she arrived. Police are investigating how someone would have access to the barcode and know that she had placed orders.
July 29, 9 p.m.: Police were dispatched to Orchard Street to serve a probation warrant. Michael Manucson, 49, of Arlington, was arrested for violating his probation.
July 30, 2 a.m.: A grey Toyota RAV4 was seen traveling at a high rate of speed on Main Street, and crossed over the yellow lines. An officer pulled the motor vehicle cover. While speaking with the driver, the officer noticed the man had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, bloodshot and glassy eyes, and the man was unsteady on his feet. The man did not pass four field sobriety tests. William Donahue, 35, of Waltham, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
July 30: A Summer Street resident reviewed home security footage and saw that on July 27 someone attempted to enter vehicles at two homes on the street, but did not get access to them. Police are investigating.
