Magic Dyke Presents Haunted Tales at the Mosesian Center for the Arts on Saturday, April 27.

There is fun to be had for all kinds of adults and kids, including prom queens, ghouls, athletes, music lovers, and sheep enthusiasts this weekend in Watertown. Scary creatures will haunt you at the Mosesian Center, while sheep get their spring haircut at Gore Place.

This event creature featuring some of the best IN THE FLESH local boo-lesque, drag, and circus performers in Boston, this revue promises to be a scream! Inspired by the classic horror anthology series, “Tales from the Crypt,” allow our horrifying hostess to bring you on a spooky and treacherous journey of live theater at HAUNTED TALES!

Friday April 26 at 10 p.m.

Who wouldn’t want to go back to prom either to relive all the magic or to change everything that went wrong? We’ll have a “Best Outfit Contest”, music by DJ Larry D, as well as lots of great drink specials. This is a 21+ event. Find more about the event on Facebook or Instagram

CONCERT: THE FRESH POND FIVE at the Watertown Free Public Library, Watertown Savings Bank Meeting Room
Saturday, April 27, 2 to 3 p.m.

The Fresh Pond Five is a wind quintet composed of musicians from the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, a near half-century-old community music organization dedicated to making great music accessible to diverse audiences. Free

GORE PLACE SHEEP SHEARING FESTIVAL at Gore Place
April 27, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A New England spring tradition since 1987! Advance tickets are now available online. Gore Place members get free admission. Cost: $20 general admission (13 and up). Free admission for children ages 12 and under. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Get tickets and more information here.

RUNS

There are two opportunities to get outside and stretch your legs with others, and you can walk or run, take your pick!

WATERTOWN RUN CLUB at the Veteran’s Memorial, 5 Charles River Road
Saturdays at 9 a.m. 

Saturday community run along the river. All paces and abilities welcome. Meets at 9 a.m. on Saturdays near the Veteran’s Memorial.

ACYOA BISHOP’s 5k WALK OR RUN at St. James Armenian Church Saturday, April 27, Registration at 8 a.m., Walk/Run begins at 9 a.m.

The ACYOA (Armenian Church Youth Organization of America) Central Council is pleased to announce that registration is live for the 2024 ACYOA Bishop’s 5K Walk/Run! The event is for all ages and abilities. The New England event will be by the St. James Armenian Church, 465 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown, with the support of the St. James ACYOA Seniors. The route will begin and end at St. James and will travel through Watertown. Register here.
