The following announcement was provided by the Watertown Community Foundation:
The Watertown Community Foundation (WCF) will open the 2024 application process for Institutional and Program grants starting April 1. These grants support local non-profits, community-based organizations, programs, and projects that serve Watertown. Approximately $130,000 in grants will be awarded.
WCF’s Program Grants will support new or existing programs with an educational focus (broadly defined) that are run by local organizations that serve Watertown and are not offered through Watertown’s public or private schools. Eligible organizations may apply for grants of $500 up to $5,000.
WCF’s Institutional Support Grants will support non-profit institutions central to the Watertown community by providing funds to support the organizational mission, staffing and operating costs. Institutional Support Grants do not restrict the use of funds or impose any requirements. Eligible organizations may apply for grants of up to $7,500.
The application deadline for both grant programs is April 24, 2023.
Watertown Community Foundation Introduces New Online Grant Application Portal
Starting on April 1, the Watertown Community Foundation will only accept grant applications through the Watertown Community Foundation Online Grant Application Portal.
“We are excited to introduce a new online grants application system to the Watertown community,” says Tia Tilson, Executive Director of the Watertown Community Foundation. “Our work to support the vibrant non-profit sector in Watertown with grant funding has outgrown our current systems. Since 2021 the Watertown Community Foundation has seen a minimum of 25% growth in grant applications every year. Our new online grant application portal will make tracking grants easier for everyone. Applicants will be better able to manage and track their applications and grant reports, while the work of board members, volunteers and staff will be streamlined as they consider all the great initiatives seeking financial support.”
The Watertown Community Foundation will hold two information sessions on March 27, 2024, to learn more about the new Online Grant Application Portal. Applicants can sign up for either information session at watertownfoundation.org.
