Broadway Actor & Rescue Dog Make Watertown Their Home While Starring in “Legally Blonde: The Musical”

Broadway actor, Brian Michael Hoffman and rescue dog Ricky, make Watertown their home while starring in Moonbox Productions upcoming production of Legally Blonde: The Musical, with music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin and a book by Heather Hach, based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown.

Brian is a professional actor and dog handler with renowned William Berloni Theatrical Animals. Ricky the Chihuahua, who will play Bruiser Woods, is a rescue dog and one of Berloni’s many canine stars. Together, Brian and Ricky have performed in over 20 productions of Legally Blonde: The Musical, including a two-year run on Broadway.

Directed by Katie Anne Clark with musical direction by Mindy Cimini and choreography by Taavon Gamble, Legally Blonde: The Musical opens on December 8th and runs until December 31st at the BCA Calderwood Pavilion – Robert Theatre located at 527 Tremont Street. Tickets are $65 for Friday and Saturday evening performances and Sunday matinee, and $45 for Thursday evening performances and Saturday matinee. Moonbox Productions’ Legally Blonde: The Musical chronicles the journey of the famously perky Elle Woods, a fashion-savvy, UCLA sorority girl who finds her life turned upside down when she is dumped by her boyfriend Warner.  In an effort to prove to Warner that she is more than just some blonde sorority girl, she follows him to Harvard Law School, where she struggles to fit in and do well. Ultimately, she defies expectations and manages to stay true to her delightfully pink personality.
