The following announcement was provided by MassDOT:
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing a virtual public workshop on Tuesday, October 24, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to discuss traffic signal and safety improvements at Newton Corner in Newton.
The goal of the project is to address safety and operational deficiencies associated with the roadway and ramp network of I-90 exit 127, (formerly exit 17), at Newton Corner. The project limits include Washington Street circulatory roadways over I-90, I-90 ramps connecting Washington Street service roads, the two overpass bridges, associated I-90 eastbound and westbound ramp termini, as well as intersecting streets.
This meeting is accessible to people with disabilities. MassDOT provides reasonable accommodations and/or language assistance free of charge upon request, (e.g interpreters in American Sign Language and languages other than English, live captioning, videos, assistive listening devices and alternate material formats), as available.
For accommodation or language assistance, please contact MassDOT’s Chief Diversity and Civil Rights Officer by phone (857-368-8580), TTD/TTY at (857) 266-0603, fax (857) 368-0602 or by email (MassDOT.CivilRights@dot.state.ma.us). Requests should be made prior to the meeting.

I have heard this area referred to “The Traffic Circle from Hell,” or “The Rotary of Death,” or many variation on similar themes. I’m sure pretty much everyone living here has, too.
(Am actually having trouble imagining what would actually improve it other than closing all off-ramps and adding wooden ponies and a hurdy-gurdy.)
However, IMHO one of the most dangerous areas is where cross-traffic is trying to get from westbound Washington St. onto the rotary and exiting immediately off onto Centre St. south. Then there’s what happens when you’re from I-90 East and trying to get onto Galen St. after crossing on-off ramp traffic at Centre St., Park St., and I-90 West. Also problematic: coming southbound on Galen and realizing way too late that _westbound_ I-90 exit is immediately straight ahead but _eastbound_ I-90 requires a right (toward the actual west), 2 lights and a long loop into the mess-of-spaghetti on the south side of I-90.
Just writing all that out was exhausting. So I will only add that signage is confusing or incomprehensible in less than 60 sec. or just plain absent.
Good luck all!
