The Watertown Business Coalition will be presenting it second annual Life Sciences Panel and Exhibition. The event will be held at the brand new Hosmer Elementary School.
The Watertown Business Coalition provided the following information:
We invite you to join us on Wednesday, April 27, from 5:30-7:45 p.m. for our second annual Life Sciences panel and exhibition.
See where the life science companies located in Watertown, or soon to be located in Watertown. Get the opportunity to share more about their business and learn and interact with the local business community and Watertown residents.
The event will take place in the Lower Learning Commons space at Hosmer, which has a 100 person capacity. Be the first to RSVP today so you don’t miss your spot! If you can’t attend in person, don’t worry – we will stream the event virtually on Facebook Live.
Our first Life Science Panel last year was a wonderful connection point for these groups and ultimately these connections and conversations resulted in a $15,000 STEM grant from Life Science Cares to Watertown Public Schools.
Panelists will discuss the public and private partnerships and cooperation between the City and Life Science, with reps from:
- Arranta Bio
- Forma Therapeutics
- C4 Therapeutics
- and Dede Galdston, Superintendent of WPS
Last year’s panel was online in a Zoom room and we can’t wait to bring it IN PERSON at one of Watertown’s brand new schools (which will also benefit from the STEM grant), the Hosmer Elementary School. In addition to experiencing this brand new school which was made possible by much of the life science development in town, we are also holding our first ever Life Science Exhibition where Life Science companies, Schools and WCF may set up tables (all equipment provided) to showcase more about their company, their science, and their participation in STEM.
Agenda:
- 5:30 – 6 pm: Open Networking and Life Science Exhibition
- 6 – 7 pm: Panel and Q&A
- 7:15 – 7:45 pm: Open Networking and School Tours with the WPS Superintendent and Hosmer Principal
