COVID-19 Vaccine Update
The local Watertown Health Department clinics are over for now due to changes in the Commonwealth’s vaccine distribution process. Please call the Mass Vaccines Hotline at 2-1-1 or visit https://www.mass.gov/covid-19-vaccine for information about vaccine sites, age group eligibility, and companion vaccine sites. Please ask your families or friends who are computer-savvy to assist you with scheduling an appointment at area clinics.
I received my first shot at a Watertown Health Department clinic, how do I get the second shot?
If you received your first shot at a Watertown Health Department clinic hosted at the Police Station, and you used your own personal email to register, you will receive an email about scheduling your second shot. If the Senior Center helped you to sign up, a Senior Center staff person will be contacting you to schedule your time for the second shot. We do not have any information at this time about dates or times.
Is there a cost and do I have to have insurance?
There is no cost for a vaccination, and if you do not have insurance, you are still eligible to sign up and receive a vaccination. If you are asked for a credit card, a fee, your Social Security number, or your Driver’s License number, you are on the wrong website or hang up on the caller.
I am a Veteran, is there another way to get a vaccine appointment?
The VA has been reaching out to Veterans, but please call your VA provider or Patrick George, Watertown’s VSO at (617) 972-6416 for information about the VA Health System and what they are providing to Veterans who meet specific criteria.
And Please Remember!
We are still in a pandemic! Keep your distance from others. Wear your masks and wash your hands. The vaccine is 2 doses, spread weeks apart. We must keep vigilant about keeping ourselves and others safe. We’re in this together.
