The following information was provided by Minuteman High School:
Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School will hold both in-person and virtual events this fall for parents and students interested in attending the career technical education (CTE) high school for the 2021-2022 school year.
Students are choosing Minuteman in significantly higher numbers, which earlier this year resulted in a waiting list from the district’s member towns.
Visit minuteman.org/admissions for the latest information.
Due to the COVID-19 health and safety protocols, Minuteman is operating under a hybrid learning model for the current school year, meaning one grade of students is in the building each week to engage in hands-on CTE learning in one of its 18 career majors, including biotechnology, automotive, engineering, cosmetology, and many others.
Parent Information Sessions: November 5 and 18
Minuteman is holding virtual information sessions for parents whose students are interested in attending the school. Parents will hear from Minuteman’s Assistant Principal for Admissions, Anthony Chiariello, along with several members of the Minuteman Parent Association who will speak about their students’ experiences and answer questions from parents of prospective students.
The virtual parent information sessions are scheduled for Thursday, November 5, and Wednesday, November 18, at 7:00 PM. Please visit minuteman.org/admissions for further details.
Private Tours
Minuteman is continuing to offer private tours for one student and up to two adults. The Assistant Principal for Admissions, Anthony Chiariello, will provide you a tour of the new school building, which opened in September 2019, where you can see revolutionary learning in action. Wearing a face mask and practicing physical distancing is required.
Following the tour, Mr. Chiariello will explain the application process and answer any questions you or your student may have. He will also share your questions with current Minuteman students in the Student Ambassador program so your child can get a more personalized response.
Register for a private tour now at minuteman.org/admissions or by contacting Sue Murphy, administrative assistant, at s.murphy@minuteman.org.
Member Towns
Families of students entering ninth grade next fall who live in one of Minuteman’s member towns are encouraged to attend a virtual or in-person event this fall. Minuteman’s member towns are Acton, Arlington, Bolton, Dover, Concord, Lancaster, Lexington, Stow, and Needham. Students residing in non-member towns are welcome but must later seek approval for enrollment from their hometown school district.
