Former Raiders made their alma mater proud over the weekend, with several scoring goals for their college team and another notching a win in goal.

Kourtney Kennedy, a sophomore forward at UConn, scored her first career goal in against No. 1 ranked North Carolina in a game played at Boston College on Sunday. The No. 5 ranked Huskies fell 2-1.
In the second game of the doubleheader at BC, the Eagles’ freshman goalie, and Kourtney’s sister, Jonna Kennedy notched a 6-1 win over UMass Amherst. She made seven saves and collected her second win of the season for the 12th ranked BC team.
Two former WHS players scored in Holy Cross on Saturday. Sophomore defender Olivia Venezia scored her second goal of the season against Lafayette, while senior midfielder/defender Emily Loprete scored her team-high 11th goal in the Crusaders’ 3-2 loss to Lafayette.
Boston University senior midfielder Allie Doggett tallied the winning goal in the Terrier’s 3-2 victory at Bucknell on Saturday. The goal the third of the season for Doggett, who is a co-captain for BU.
Northeastern senior midfielder/back Rachel Campbell scored the first goal in the Huskies’ 5-1 win at Dartmouth. The tally the fourth of the season for Northeastern’s co-captain.
Sydney Poulin, a 2018 WHS graduate, scored her seventh goal of the season for Endicott College on Saturday. The freshman midfielder’s score helped the Gulls defeated Western New England 5-0.
Fans can catch two former Raiders — UConn’s Kourtney Kennedy and BU’s Allie Doggett — play against each other on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. when the Huskies visit BU’s New Balance Field.
