The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.
Arrests
Sept. 12, 10:30 a.m.: Target security spotted a man grab a mirror and a food shredder and put it into a carriage, which he left on one side of the store. Then he took another mirror and food shredder and went to the register to purchase them. The man left the store and a few minutes later came back and found the carriage with the original items inside and tried to push the carriage through the mall entrance. Security tried to stop the man, but he pushed the guard away and ran into the store. An officer who was at Target on another matter chased the man, who attempted to run through the officer. The pair fell to the floor and the officer got the suspect under control. While checking the man’s record, police found the man had a warrant for his arrest. The 57-year-old Natick man was arrested on charges of shoplifting, resisting arrest and the warrant for shoplifting.
Sept. 13, 1:32 a.m.: An officer patrolling on Mt. Auburn Street spotted a woman who the officer knew was wanted on a warrant. The 44-year-old homeless woman was arrested on the warrant from Boston Municipal Court for shoplifting by concealing merchandise, trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Incidents
Sept. 13, 9:25 a.m.: Police received a call from the management of the Dunkin’ Donuts on Main Street about a suspicious incident. On. Sept. 11, a woman came in and used a $100 bill and 23 cents in change to pay for a purchase of $9.23. The employee gave the woman $91 in change. Later, it was discovered the $100 bill was counterfeit. The suspect is described as a heavyset African-American woman who wore her hair in a bun, and wore black clothing with red or pink shoes. Police are investigating.
Sept. 15, 7:50 a.m.: A driver reported a road rage incident. While driving eastbound on Arsenal Street when an Allied Republic Waste truck sped up and pulled along side the vehicle and the driver yelled “why did you cut me off?” The driver of the garbage truck then threw a water bottle and struck the vehicle and broke a weather guard on the top of the driver’s window worth about $100. Officers searched the area for the truck but could not locate it. Police are working with Allied Republic to identify the driver.
Sept. 15, 4:10 p.m.: A Ladd Street resident reported that he had been the victim of check fraud. On Aug. 27, the man had dropped off a check for his landlord to pay a water bill. On Sept. 12, he noticed a suspicious charge in his bank account and was told a check with the same number as the one he left for his landlord had been cashed for $4,600 on Sept. 7. When he saw a copy of the check, he noticed that it was not written in his handwriting. Police are investigating.

Man Charged With Stabbing Tow Truck Driver Held Without Bail
