It’s tomato season at the Watertown Farmers Market, and you can learn some new ways to use these red beauts.
The Watertown Farmers’ Market and Eat Well Watertown will provide demonstrations at Thursday’s market, which is open from 1:30-6:30 p.m. at the Arsenal on the Charles.

With peak tomato season in full swing, join us for delicious tomato tastings from your favorite Watertown farmers and a delicious Gazpacho Demo from Community Chef Gaia!
Know Your Tomato Tasting 2:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Live Well Watertown Volunteer Natalie Tarbet will be talking all things tomato! Stop by for tomato tastings from our farms, recipes, and more!
Gazpacho Demo and Sampling 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
Community Chef Gaia Sciaranghella will be showcasing summer tomatoes and produce from our farms in a delicious gazpacho. Stop by to learn how to make this tasty and delicious dish, try a sample, and pick up the ingredients needed right at the market!
Music
This week’s entertainment features folk singer Lenka Zbruz from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Lenka, director at Music Together of Belmont, says she “loves making music more than anything else.” With class locations in Belmont, Watertown and Waltham, Lenka teaches many mixed age classes and specializes in a pre-crawling babies class for infants under 8 months of age and most recently started teaching a special “Rhythm Kids” class for children 4 and 5 years old. You can find Lenka teaching in several preschools and day care centers, playing at farmers markets during the summer and fall and entertaining children’s musical birthday parties on weekends.
The Watertown Farmers’ Market is located on the front green, immediately in front of the Mosesian Center for the Arts at the corner of Arsenal Street and Kingsbury Avenue. It is right off of the MBTA bus 70 & 70A and there is free parking in the Arsenal Garage on Kingsbury Avenue.
