A Funeral Mass for Anne Rose (Burns) Crimmins will be celebrated in St. Luke’s
Church, Belmont on Wednesday March 28 at 10:30 a.m.
Mrs. Crimmins, a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Flynn) Crimmins passed
away in her home after a short illness on Saturday March 24, 2018. She was 98.
Anne was born and went to Catholic Schools in Somerville, graduating with the class of 1938. A long time resident of Watertown. Anne worked in the recreation
department as an administrative assistant, Town of Watertown for 44 years.
She was a long time parishioner of St. Luke’s Church, Belmont . Long standing
member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians –Watertown. She was awarded
the community service achievement plaque and her place in the Watertown Hall of
Fame. In recent years she loved traveling with friends. She could never sit still; she
would find projects around the house to do, painting, repairs, you name it. She also
had a thrust for adventure in her late 80’s & 90’s, she was lifted onto the back of a
motorcycle for a ride, went on a hot air balloon ride and even fell out a raft white
water rafting in Alaska.
She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel J. Crimmins. Devoted mother of Diane
Crimmins of Reading, Janice M. Fulton & her husband David of Spring Hill, Fla. and Karen A. Crimmins of Watertown. Dear brother of John Burns of Somerville. Loving grandmother of Heather & Kathryn Barrett and Michael & Steven Cumings. Also loved by 4 great children.
Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at 9:30 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass in St. Luke’s Church, 132 Lexington St., Belmont at 10:30 a.m.
Relatives and friends kindly invited.
Visiting hours Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery.
