The second Nor’easter in less than a week could drop as much as 6 inches of snow on the Watertown area.
The National Weather Services issued a Winter Storm Watch from 6 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, to 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 8. Snow will start falling lightly in the morning and the heaviest snowfall will be on Wednesday night, according to WHDH Channel 7’s forecast.
Watertown is near the line between the 3-6 inches and 7-12 inches of snowfall on WHDH’s snow forecast map.
Winds will not be as intense as Friday’s storm, which cause damage in Watertown including bringing down several utility poles on Arsenal Street and knocked down trees. This week’s storm will have winds of 6 to 11 mph, with gusts up to 21 mph, according to the National Weather Service. The high temperature Wednesday will be 39 degrees, and will drop to 33 degrees overnight.
