The Watertown Rotary Club would like to invite you to our first ever Service Saturday, Feb. 24 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Service Saturday provides local residents the opportunity to engage with the local community. On Feb. 24, volunteers will first gather at the Watertown Boys & Girls Club. From there, participants will pick from service activities to engage in for two hours.
After the volunteer period, everyone will gather for lunch and a group discussion of how the day went. We will have a variety of projects suitable for a variety of ages and abilities. Below are some sample sites.
• The Residence at Watertown Square
• The Carroll Center for the Blind
• The Gifford Cat Shelter
• Watertown Health Center
• Waverly Development Program
So, come to service Saturday and join the Watertown Rotary Club as we make an impact in our community!

here’s a nice example of service to the community by Rotarians and/or residents of Watertown:
on 29/04/2009, after 20 years of being lost, the Watertown’s Boston Post cane was returned to Watertown Historical Society. “Watertown’s cane first went to 90-year-old Edward F. Porter, according to an article in the Watertown Tribune Enterprise on Oct. 15, 1909.” (via http://watertown.wickedlocal.com/)
