The Watertown boys soccer team defeated Bedford in overtime at Victory Field on Monday night to move on to the Div. 3 North Section semifinals.
The fifth-seeded Raiders (13-6-1) found themselves behind in the first half of the Section quarterfinal when the 13th-seeded Buccaneers (7-11-2) scored just a few minutes into the game. Watertown’s Robert Danielian tied the score with a goal in the ninth minute.
Danielian struck again late in the first half to give the Raiders a 2-1 lead. Just before the end of the half Bedford was awarded a penalty but Watertown goalie Sergio Salas saved the shot.
The Buccaneers tied the score in the 60th minute, and the game went into overtime. Danielian drew a penalty in the extra period and Alex Abrahamyan converted to give the Raiders the 3-2 win.

Watertown moves on to the North Section semifinal against top-seeded Wayland (11-1-5), which beat Weston 3-2 in overtime. The game will be on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Woburn High School. The winner moves onto the Section final on Sunday in Lynn.
More State Tournament Play
Two other Raiders teams are still playing in the state tournament. On Tuesday at 5 p.m. the field hockey team travels to Reading for the Div. 2 North Section semifinal. Watertown (18-1) is the second seed and takes on sixth-seeded Wilmington (13-4-3). The winner moves onto the Section final Saturday in North Andover.
The Watertown football team looks to keep its playoff run going. The Raiders (5-4) travel to Lynnfield (8-1) on Friday at 7 p.m. for the Div. 5 North Section final. The winner will take on the winner of the South Section final between Dennis-Yarmouth and Scituate. This is the Raiders third straight North Section final, but the team seeks its first win in the final.
