The body of a missing 26-year-old Watertown has been located near Deer Island, Watertown Police announce Tuesday.
Fisherman discovered the body on June 8 in the water near Deer Island, and State Environmental Police recovered the body. The Office of the State Medical Examiner positively identified the man as Nolan Gargas of Watertown, according to Watertown Police Lt. James O’Connor.
The cause of death remains undetermined, O’Connor said.
Gargas was reported missing on May 21, and his Toyota was found near the shore in Nahant. A $25,000 reward had been set up to find Gargas.
