A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Patrick Church, Watertown on Friday at 11 a.m. for Muriel A. (Gravel) Gildea.
Mrs. Gildea, a daughter of the late Eugene and Aurore (Valois) Gravel, passed away in the Belmont Manor Nursing Center after a period of declining health. She was 88.
Born in Woonsocket, R.I., Muriel graduated from St. Patrick High School, Watertown. She was a member of the Watertown Women’s Club. A member of the concerned citizens of precinct 4 & 5.
She was the beloved wife of the late John R. Gildea (Ret. Deputy Chief WFD). Loving mother of Kathleen A. Furbush & her husband Thomas of Watertown, David R. Gildea of Watertown, Diane M. Sherry & her husband James of Hudson, and Jacqueline M. Napoli & her husband Frank of Foxborough.
Loving grandmother of Lauren Bashford, James Furbush, Maureen Sherry Lynes, Ellen Sherry Haas, Kathryn Sherry, Elizabeth Napoli, & Frank Napoli, III. Also loved by 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Friday Jan. 27, 2017 at 10 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
Visiting hours Thursday 3-7 p.m.
