A hot real estate market in Watertown saw the top 10 agents sell more than $5 million in properties, and the top one nearly reached $20 million.
According to the real estate sales in Watertown from the multiple listing service (MLS), the top agent for 2016 was Ari Koufos of Realty Executives, who sold 29 properties for $19.49 million.
The data comes from MLS, and includes both home sales and rentals.
Koufos said he has been the top selling agent in Watertown for more than 10 years. He entered the real estate business in 1997, and is broker and owner of the Realty Executive office in Watertown.
“I have a passion for Watertown and I always want to do the right thing for the client,” Koufos said. “I never think about the commission first. Do the right thing for the client and the rest will follow.”
Second on the list was Mike DelRose Real Estate Team, with 28 units and $12.59 million, followed by Bob Airasian of William Raveis with 16 units and $10.4 million.
Rounding out the top five are Jamie Venezia of Delaney & Venezia (13 units, $8.68 million) and the team of John Petrowsky and Christian Jones of Compass (4 units, $6.45 million).

Realty Executives topped the list of agencies for Watertown real estate sales, with 41 properties and $22.81 million in sales.
The second highest selling agency was Century 21 Adams Lawndale, with 34 properties and $21.85 million. Third place was Century 21 Commonwealth, with 50 properties and $19.22 million.
Fourth highest was Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Waltham, with 41 units and $16.5 million. RE/MAX Leading Edge of Watertown rounded out the top 5 with 30 listings and $13.65 million.
