MassBay Community College announced that registration is open for winter intersession courses. Winter intersession courses are two-week intensive courses offered for credit and non-credit at MassBay. This is a chance for high school students, area college students visiting on winter break and/or enrolled MassBay students to take courses in a short timeframe to help get ahead in their studies, earn college credits quickly, or get a step closer to graduation.
“Intercession is a wonderful opportunity for students to take care of general education requirements or pre-requisites for advanced coursework,” said MassBay Director of Admissions Alison McCarty. “Students interested in any of our nursing programs, for example, can take Biology 101 in just 10 days over Winter Intersession in order to be able to take Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology in the spring. That’s a great way to get ahead.”
Winter intersession courses start January 3rd and classes are held Monday – Friday for two-weeks at the Framingham and Wellesley Hills campuses. Courses that are available range from Biology, Computers and Technology, Freshman English, American Literature, Introduction to Statistics, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Human Growth and Development, Introduction to Sociology, Beginning Spanish, Drugs and Society, and more. Interested students can find more information on the courses being offered by visiting www.MassBay.edu/winter.
