The Watertown football team’s successful season continued Friday night when the Raiders traveled to Wilmington and shut out the hosts.
Watertown scored 21 points in the second quarter to surge past Wilmington.
Running back Zach Rimsa scored the first on a one-yard run. Then quarterback Deon Smith took it in himself from four yards away.
Running back Vasken Kebabjian then exploded for a 49-yard touchdown run.
In the fourth quarter, Smith found paydirt again with a 21-yard run.
The Raiders improved to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the Middlesex League. Watertown also improved their potential tournament seeding by moving to second in the Div. 3 North Section power ratings, according to the Boston Globe.
The final game before the playoffs begin will be at Stoneham, on Friday at 7 p.m.
