The founder of Demos Restaurant on Mt. Auburn Street, John G. Demos, passed away at his Sudbury home on Sept. 1, 2016 at the age of 76 after battling cancer, according to Duckett Funeral Home.
He opened his first restaurant in Boston and opened Demos in Watertown in 1971.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Sept. 6 in Sudbury and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 7 in Marlborough.
