Dear Editor:
As an “American Patriot,” I am appalled that Donald Trump would suggest that Putin’s Russia hack and intervene in the American Electoral Process. More appalling to me is the lack of outrage by fellow American Patriots of whatever political persuasion; Republican or Democrat, conservative, liberal or progressive.
As far as I am concerned, Trump has abridged the highest level of trust one can confer on a candidate for an office at any level of government whether local, state or national.
I was taught as a child to walk a mile in the other person’s shoes before criticizing, but in this case I have to look at the obvious!!!!
Can one imagine where or what would have happened to Donald Trump if he had been in Russia during Putin’s last election and he asked the United States Government to hack Vladimir Putin’s emails.
This is a message that no one is talking about. Do you think that Putin would accept Trump’s statement that he was only joking?
Isn’t AMERICA GREAT!!; that it has the FIRST AMENDMENT that even protects outrageous statements by illogical/misinformed politicians.
Sincerely,
Clyde L. Younger

As usual Clyde Younger is clueless. First of all if the emails, are as Clinton claims, void of anything but personal matters like recipes and yoga positions, then there is ZERO problem in terms of national security. Secondly, if they have the emails, then handing them over to the FBI or even to the Media, is urgent. The American people have a right to know, if Hillary Clinton placed our national security in danger.
was this exchange with the Russians Ok????????
“This is my last election … After my election I have more flexibility,” Obama said, expressing confidence that he would win a second term.
“I will transmit this information to Vladimir,” said Medvedev, Putin’s protégé and long considered number two in Moscow’s power structure.
The exchange, parts of it inaudible, was monitored by a White House pool of television journalists as well as Russian reporters listening live from their press center.
