A pair of Watertown High School teams played in the state tournament Thursday, with mixed results.
Watertown’s girls tennis team sprung an upset at Arlington Catholic on Thursday. The Raiders won the Div. 3 North Section first round match 3-1. Next up for Watertown is a match at Manchester-Essex on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the quarterfinal.
The Raiders baseball team fell in extra-innings to Boston English. Watertown lost 2-1 in eight innings in the Div. 3 North Section preliminary game Thursday afternoon. The team finishes the season 9-12.
