On Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, members and friends of the First Parish of Watertown will host the first Open Door Art Show. A percentage of all proceeds will benefit their Opening Doors Capital Campaign.
Emphasizing community, commemoration and comfort, the campaign’s goal is to create more comfortable and welcoming spaces throughout the church, including a memorial garden. The show will be hosted from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the First Parish church, 35 Church St. in Watertown Square.
Over 16 artists and craftsmen, along with the church’s youth group, will showcase a wide array of arts and crafts. Included will be paintings, photography, pottery, candles, jewelry, woven items and more. There will also be a bake sale held downstairs in the church social hall.
Participating artists are: Michael Altamari, Diane Baltozer, Carole Smith Berney, Caroline Bays, Lev Brown, Johanna Erickson, Monica Fairbairn, Sandy Kane, Judy Kamm, Carole Newman Katz, Miranda Loud, Kim Katz McCready, Grace Neal, Silke Plesch, Missy Shay, Emily Twombly, Sue Twombly and Joseph Weiler.
