The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.
Arrests
Oct. 23, 2:21 p.m.: Police responded to a disturbance at 20 Watertown Street and found a man who said he felt like hurting himself. The man was sitting on a couch holding a pair of scissors. Police ordered the man to put down the scissors but the man refused multiple times. Then he suddenly lunged at officers with the scissors with a stabbing motion. An officer grabbed a kitchen chair and was able to pin the man down on the couch, while another officer removed the scissors from his hand. The 54-year-old Watertown man was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon.
Incidents
Oct. 19, 5:36 p.m.: A Walnut Street resident came home from work to discover her home had been ransacked. Nothing appeared to be missing and there were no signs of forced entry. While police were there, another resident came up to report that someone had tried to push in a window mounted air conditioner but entry was not gained.
Oct 20, 8:53 p.m.: A man was knocking on the door of an Arlington Street home and kept knocking harder until he broke the glass on the door.
Oct. 21, 7:51 a.m.: Overnight, someone went to Sarris Auto Service and stole the side mirror and housing off a 2013 Mercedes.
Oct. 22, 12:34 p.m.: A bike was stolen from the driveway of a home on Winter Street. It is a red and white youth mountain bike.
Oct. 23, 2:22 p.m.: The rear tire of a vehicle was slashed while it was parked in a driveway of a home on Green Street.
Oct. 24, 10:43 a.m.: A windshield wiper was ripped off a vehicle on Morse Street.
Oct. 25, 12:27 p.m.: A Webster Street resident came out to find all four tires on one vehicle flat and one tire on a second vehicle flat, and it appeared the had been slashed.
