The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.
Arrests
Aug. 25, 9:49 p.m.: A man was panhandling in front of Tedeschi’s on Main Street, and the store employees called the police. When they arrived and asked him to stop, the man began yelling and screaming at officers and became aggressive. Police arrested the 41-year-old Waltham man for disorderly conduct.
Aug. 26, 8:14 p.m.: Middlesex Probation contacted the Watertown Police about a man who was violating his requirement to wear a GPS device. The 24-year-old Watertown man was arrested on the warrant.
Aug. 28, 10:01 a.m.: Police arrested 33-year-old Chestnut Hill woman on two warrants from Waltham District Court, one for making a false 911 call and one for disturbing the peace.
Aug. 30, 11:32 p.m.: A two vehicle accident occurred on Arsenal Street where one vehicle rear ended the one in front of it. The driver of the car that ran into the other vehicle did not have a Massachusetts driver’s license, but produced one from Guatemala. Police also detected an odor of alcohol on the man’s breath. The 33-year-old Watertown woman was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol – a second offense, unlicensed operations of a motor vehicle and failure to use care.
Incidents
Aug. 24, 10:02 a.m.: A rented pod storage was damaged at the Strawberry Childcare Center on Watertown Street. The door was dented and was pushed inward, and it appeared a car may have backed into the pod. No entry was gained.
Aug. 25, 7:38 p.m.: Police were called to a medical office building on Arsenal Street for a car that had been scratched along the entire length of the passenger side while parked there the previous day.
Aug. 26, 1:26 p.m.: Security at CVS on Main Street reported that they spotted a man come in on Aug. 21 and take 30 bottles of nail polish and put them into his pants pocket and leave the store. They were worth nearly $250. The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a black shirt, black hat and jeans.
Aug. 27, 7:46 a.m.: A paintball was shot at a home on Chandler Street the previous night.
Aug. 29, 6 p.m.: A cleaner left a Bissell Quick Steamer outside a home on Highland Avenue for 10 minutes and when she went back out it was gone. The steamer is worth $99.
