The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.
Arrests
Aug. 3, 10:36 p.m.: A Dexter Avenue resident called to report a man who had followed them home from a restaurant after they had gotten into an argument with him. The suspect left the area when police arrived. Officers followed him and pulled him over on Laurel Street for failing to signal when turning. The officer detected an odor of alcohol on the man’s breath and performed field sobriety tests. The 62-year-old Billerica man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to signal.
Aug. 5, 3:06 p.m.: An officer patrolling the municipal lot behind CVS ran the plate of a vehicle and found the registration had been suspended and the owner had a suspended license. When the vehicle was stopped on Whites Avenue, the officer found that the driver also had two arrest warrants. After a search, they found a small baggie with a white substance suspected to be cocaine. The 40-year-old Marlborough man was arrested for driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an uninsured vehicle, possession of a Class B substance and warrants from Westborough District Court and Natick District Court.
Incidents
Aug. 4, 12:04 p.m.: A couple was moving on July 30, and the next day they discovered a duffle bag full of men’s clothing worth $1,000 was missing. They suspect the bag was taken when they were moving out of an apartment on Chauncey Street.
Aug. 5, 2:10 p.m.: A pair of prescription sunglasses worth $625 was taken from a locker at Boston Sports Club.
Aug. 7, 8:21 p.m.: A teenage boy was spotted taking multiple cell phone accessories and a bottle of cologne from Marshall’s and tried to leave without paying. Security stopped him and recovered the merchandise. The teen was summonsed to Waltham District Court for larceny under $250.
Aug. 8, 5:30 p.m.: Two teens were stopped in Target for shoplifting. One took a cell phone cover and put it into her pocketbook. The teenage boy took a cell pone cover and put it in his pocket. Target security chose not to seek charges on the 16-year-old Watertown girl and 15-year-old Watertown boy.
Aug. 8, 6:39 p.m.: A man parked his bicycle outside Golf Town at the Arsenal Project. The bike had been locked up, but the chain was cut. The 20-inch red and white mountain bike is worth $1,300.
