The company is once again observing World Alzheimer’s Month with activities to help bring an end to the disease.
Over the past week, employees from all locations wore purple to raise awareness and show support for current sufferers and their caregivers. The company has also put purple lights on the headquarters building at 705 Mt. Auburn St.
The company also hosted “lunch and learns” on coping with being a caregiver for someone with dementia, according to a company press release.
Tufts will again send teams to participate in the Walk To End Alzheimer’s in Boston and in Worcester. In support of these teams, Tufts Health Plan is donating $50 to the Alzheimer’s Association in the employee’s name, according to a Tufts announcement. Last year, the teams raised $15,000 for Alzheimer’s research and support.
