The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.
Arrests
June 23, 2:09 a.m.: An officer spotted a grey minivan run a red light at Nonantum Road and Galen Street and then run the light at Watertown and California streets. The officer pulled the minivan over and detected an odor of alcohol on the driver’s breath. Field sobriety tests were given and the 28-year-old Newton man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, unlicensed driving and to counts of failing to stop.
June 23, 7:07 a.m.: Police arrested a 33-year-old Watertown man on a warrant from Waltham District Court for intimidating a witness and malicious destruction of property.
June 23, 5:21 p.m.: An officer spotted a white Honda run a red light at Main Street and Charles River Road. After stopping the car, the officer discovered the driver had a warrant from Concord District Court for traffic offenses, and that the driver did not have a license. The 46-year-old Brighton woman was arrested on the warrant, for unlicensed driving and a red light violation.
June 23, 7:04 p.m.: An officer investigating the larceny of a moped stopped a man on a moped and discovered he had an outstanding warrant. The 31-year-old man from Dorchester was arrested on the warrant from Chelsea District Court for carrying a dangerous weapon and traffic offenses.
June 23, 10:39 p.m.: An officer on a detail saw a red pickup truck swerving around on the road. The pickup was pulled over and and an odor of alcohol was detected on the driver’s breath. The 49-year-old Watertown man was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and marked lanes violation.
June 24, 9:04 p.m.: Police served two warrants on a 29-year-old Watertown man. He was arrested on a warrant from Brighton District Court and one from Cambridge District Court, both for traffic offenses.
June 27, 12:39 a.m.: A man was outside a home on Belmont Street and when police responded the man ran into the house. Police followed and saw the man throw a plastic bag filled with a white powder inside, which they believed to be cocaine. The 48-year-old man was arrested on a charge of possession of a Class B drug.
June 27, 10:43 a.m.: Security at Home Depot spotted an employee taking money from a register. He was spotted on a video taking a $100 bill. He also had an outstanding warrant. The 32-year-old Dorchester man was arrested on the warrant for aggravated assault and battery from Dorchester District Court. Home Depot summonsed the man to Waltham District Court on a charge of larceny.
June 28, 2:17 a.m.: A 50-year-old Watertown man was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
June 29, 5:35 p.m.: A man was spotted carrying cement blocks into the Toyota used car lot on Pleasant Street. Police arrived and saw the man crouch down between cars and remove a tire from a car. The 28-year-old man from Jamaica Plain was arrested for larceny, trespassing and possession of burglarious instrument.
Incidents
June 23, 8:54 a.m.: The front door of P & M Brick on Arlington Street was broken. It appears someone threw a piece of concrete at the door.
June 23, 5:19 p.m.: Someone took an undisclosed amount of cash from Graphics Connection between June 20 and 23.
June 24, 12:07 a.m.: A woman locked up her bike by the Watertown Square Delta a few weeks previously and gone when she returned. It was a red Schwinn.
June 24, 2:12 p.m.: A student reported that his iPhone had been stolen on June 18. A 14-year-old Watertown boy was summonsed to Waltham District Court for larceny.
June 25, 4:42 p.m.: An employee at Home Depot was spotted taking cash from a customer for a purchase and instead of putting it into the register he put it in his pocket. When confronted the man ran out of the store. The 22-year-old man from Dorchester was summonsed to Waltham District Court for larceny.
June 26, 9:04 p.m.: A man parked his 2012 Chevy in the parking lot behind The Talk restaurant and when he went back it was gone.
June 29, 2:50 p.m.: A woman put her bag unattended in a carriage at Target and when she returned it was gone. The bag contained an iPhone, a cell phone, a camera, sunglasses and glasses.
