Watertown High School’s boys’ and girls’ hockey teams both earned high seeds in the MIAA state tournament, and one will skate at home.
The Raiders boys’ team took the top seed in the North Section Div. 3 tournament. Watertown, which finished with a record of 13-2-5, will play a quarterfinal game against the winner of the Bedford-Shawsheen matchup. The game will be on Sunday, March 2 at 6:30 p.m. in Chelmsford.
The girls squad, which is a co-op team with Belmont, got the fourth seed in the Div. 1 tournament (the girls do not have section). The Maraiders (a combination of Marauders and Raiders) play a first round game against Andover at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 1 at John Ryan Arena in Watertown. The girls’ team finished with a 16-2-2 record.
